Since a young age, Angela Noelle Martin recalls a keen curiosity in the human body and its' innate ability to heal itself. Though she didn’t know how to put it into words at the time, she recalls feeling dissatisfaction when at the doctor’s office, and not having her long list of questions answered. Questions such as, ‘Why am I sick’?, and ‘What can I do to prevent illness in the future?'. Instead, she remembers vague answers from the doctor and always leaving the office with another prescription. Fast forward into adulthood, Angela's curiosity continued, reading everything she could about alternative medicine, in particular, food as medicine.
A chronic back injury that worsened while waiting tables on Cape Cod lead her to try acupuncture, while she was saving up for massage school. After 3 or 4 treatments, her back pain improved, and she was sold on acupuncture. She changed her mind about massage and applied to the New England School of Acupuncture a few weeks later, knowing this is the career she was meant to have.
Angela is licensed through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, and has been practicing since 2008, when she opened her office in Copley Square, Boston. Her goal with her patients is to form a partnership with them, gently guiding them toward achieving their goals of having a healthy life.
