•  Friday, April 20

Boston Comedy Night returns to West Acton Villageworks with a four-event Winter/Spring 2018 series. The curator and host of our series is WES HAZARD — named one of “5 Boston comedians to watch” by Boston Globe Magazine and 2017 winner of a New England Emmy Award. Each night, he brings some of the best and brightest comics working the New England circuit. The resumés of the comics we’ve presented to date are impressive. They have appeared on Comedy Central, The TV Guide Channel, Comedy Bang! Bang! Live! Podcast, NPR’s Commonwealth Journal, Lifetime’s Girls Night Out, and several local television stations. They have performed in countless comedy festivals, both regional and further afield, have hosted many regional events, and have appeared in a number of feature films. We are so please to be bringing Wes and his gang back to the 'burbs this winter.

DINING OFFER: True West Brewery offers 15% off food before the show for advance ticket holders. Just show your server a digital or printed receipt.

'Grounded in Dreaming' Art Reception

Join artist Nancy Tobey for a reception celebrating her exhibit Grounded in Dreaming, on display in The Gallery at Villageworks through April.  Nancy works in encaustic medium -a combination of beeswax, damar, resin, and pigment - to create abstract works that are reminiscent of landscapes, cityscapes and geology.  'Grounded in Dreams' represents Nancy's exploration of lightness, color, transparency and space.

FUGITIVE STORIES: "BAD TIMING"

Each month, we bring Moth and Massmouth winners, along with others from the local community, to share their stories. Do you want to tell your story on our theme? Sign up at the cafe or fill out our form online. We'll get back to you to let you know if you're in. We also invite audience members who are interested in telling a four- to five-minute story on our theme to drop their name in a hat. If chosen, they’ll tell their tale.

$10/online • $12/door
Order your online tickets here.
Doors open at 5:30pm. Storytelling starts at 6pm.

Acton Coffeehouse is open until 6pm. Be sure to grab a beverage and a snack on your way up.

True West Brewery offers 15% off food in the restaurant for advance tickets holders on the day of each event. Stop in before the show or after!
